I was recently turned on to a man named Rabindranath Tagore whom among many things was an excellent poet. I read a poem by him which I particularly liked and that almost immediately brought to mind my feelings of my own country. I would like to share it with you, here it is.
"Where the mind is without fear"
by: Rabindranath Tagore
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake
ki majra hain bai tu gusu hain, ya pagal hain, tenu samajh nahin aa reha tera kam fudu warga hain, bilkul gadhe warga tu sanu samajh ki rakhya hai asi ta bade bade de pathe chak dayie
