Peter Huddleston

Originally born and raised in Portland, Oregon USA. I grew up in the SE area of Portland which at the time had the greatest concentration of immigrants, especially asians. As a result of spending time with my friends and their families I developed a strong interest in asian culture. I am now living in Hamamatsu. Hamamatsu is located in Shizouka Prefecture (the same as a state in the US) which is approximately 500 miles south of Tokyo.

My reason for starting this weblog in addition to boredom, is to create a more meaningful hobby and to show other people in the world that are interested in Japan what it is like here, both good and bad. I am neither a Japan basher or a Japan apologist, I simply explain Japan as I see it through my own eyes and opinions. Read at your own risk. In addition, being that I am in fact American you'll probably notice my inability to write the Queen's English. Don't let this get in the way of enjoying a good post.
